InSyTe CT

InSyTe FLECT/CT is a patented fluorescence imaging technology that provides the only true 360° optical tomography system with in-line X-ray CT. FLECT/CT combines all the advantages of FLECT, providing full functional imaging capabilities combined with the anatomical imaging capabilities of the in-line X-ray CT subsystem. The dual-modality configuration provides a complete imaging solution for advanced preclinical imaging studies without the use of radioactive tracers. Progress in chemical synthesis and labeling strategies for tracers, as well as of the shelf availability of a wide range of NIR fluorophores, allows for a broad spectrum of applications to be investigated with InSyTe FLECT/CT. InSyTe FLECT/CT is a table-top system (135cm X 80 cm x 80 cm) weighing 120 kg and therefore suitable for installation on a standard laboratory bench in any BS-1 or BS-2 laboratory.

InSyTe FLECT is the first and only commercially available true 360° tomographic optical preclinical imaging system. FLECT enables researchers to realize the full potential of in vivo optical imaging. With FLECT’s true 360° tomographic capability, researchers no longer have to choose between imaging only near the surface of the subject (subcutaneous samples) and partial tomography solutions that distort the subject or create artifacts. Instead, FLECT provides uniform sensitivity and resolution throughout the subject. FLECT provides researchers with a NIR (near infrared) functional imaging modality and therefore an important tool to detect and measure changes in the following: metabolism, blood flow, therapy control, biodistribution, drugs and chemical compounds, and many more physiological applications. InSyTe FLECT is equipped with 4 standard lasers in the range of 640 nm to 780 nm and 5 standard corresponding lasers from 695 nm to 853 nm wavelength. The field of view is 40 mm x 130 mm (trans axial x axial) with a bore size of 50 mm. State-of-the-art acquisition and reconstruction software guarantee a wide range of research applications, flexibility and stability of the acquired data. Standalone FLECT is a table-top system (135cm X 80 cm x 80 cm) weighing 65 kg and therefore suitable for installation on a standard laboratory bench in any BS1 or BS2 laboratory.

InSyTe CT excels by offering the best integrated X-Ray CT system with optimized soft tissue contrast that does not require complex programming. For a customized approach, you can purchase a system with the CT modality initially and upgrade later to incorporate FLECT. With an energy range from 30 keV to 50 keV, configurable exposure times (18 ms to 3000 ms) and a flexible beam current of ≤1 mA, InSyTe CT is perfectly equipped to allow for high soft -tissue contrast CT imaging, providing necessary anatomical information for physiological studies, as well as high bone contrast imaging for various anatomical investigations. With the implementation of special X-ray filters for beam hardening or beam softening, the system provides clinical quality soft tissue contrast and low artifact bone imaging. All InSyTe systems have a simple, consistent, user-friendly interface for image reconstruction and co-registration across all modalities and a powerful image post-processing workstation.
